The Best of 2020

Weddings, Mini-Weddings, Elopements, Proposals, and Engagements

2020 was a year of redefining, reimagining, and reconfiguring, as we embraced change and adapted to an entirely new world in the throes of a global pandemic. Our guidepost at Bee Two Sweet was very simply Love, which endures and knows no limits. We took our cues from our couples, who were, frankly, fearless; and from science, to light the way forward. 

Through numerous Zoom and Facetime heart-to-heart conversations, we were able to present new ideas and possibilities to our couples, which in turn generated a whole lot of hope in the face of so much uncertainty. Wedding day visions were reframed, with many choosing to elope or hold “mini-mony” (mini wedding) celebrations now, while planning their larger wedding gatherings later, when they can be surrounded by all of their loved ones. We are eternally grateful to all of our couples for the trust they placed in us – one couple even asked us to choose a surprise venue for their elopement, for which we only provided .gps coordinates on the day of! The experience was completely amazing -- and the photos they will have forever are so special.

We also expanded our offerings to meet the moment, with more Engagement Adventure Sessions, Anniversary Adventure Sessions, and Astro Portrait Sessions (our favorite!), as we essentially lived in our Subaru, traveling far and wide nearly every week … lots of camping was involved, so we could make sure we stayed as healthy as we possibly could (ask us about our favorite s’more creations)! 

Life may be more challenging these days, but our couples have been such courageous inspirations to us throughout the year. As we look ahead to a happy, healthy 2021, we are honored and excited to share some glimpses into their beautiful love stories … we hope you will be inspired, too.
