Epic, Emotional, and Unforgettable Wedding // District Winery

Maura and Brandon's wedding day was a fabulous celebration of their love and the deep connection to Maura’s Scottish heritage. The bride was resplendent in a ivory silk organza Suzanne Neville wedding gown with fitted corset and sweetheart neckline, while the groom complemented her perfectly in a modern pin dot tuxedo. Gorgeous florals sparkled like jewels lining the District Winery venue staircase and offsetting their ceremony space.

Theirs is a beautiful story and I felt so inspired when they shared some of the experiences that brought them closer together -- even during Covid, they put one another first, which says everything about the kind of love that lasts a lifetime. Maura shared that Brandon would even make breakfast every day, so she could teach her online kindergarten classes; and when teaching online became overly intense, he would sing her kindergarten morning song from the bedroom, which always made her laugh and restored her sense of balance. Their love for their son is infectious and one of my very favorite photos and memories from their wedding came during their ceremony, when the bride completely kept her composure as their son "drove" his toy truck over her head!

Music is also a central part of their lives -- in fact, they met by chance while listening to music and started dating shortly thereafter. It will come as no surprise, then, that the music, singing, and dancing at their reception was, in a word, EPIC -- especially the lively and spirited Scottish dance called Loch Lomond, in which everyone seemed to take part. What better way to honor this exceptional couple! Slàinte Mhath!
