Rain on your Wedding Day // Wolftrap Farm // Gordonsville VA
It was a hot July day in Central Virginia, but that wasn’t keeping these two from their outdoor wedding plans.
Minutes before walking down the aisle, one of the groomsmen asked the bride while she was still in the car, "Are you sure you don't want to move the ceremony under the pavilion? We've already moved all the seats under because it's going to rain. A lot."
Her answer as the car window rolled up, "Nope."
As she got out of the car, the wind picked up. Her father took her arm and walked her down the aisle, the rain began, and then the sky just... opened up. They yelled her vows over the sounds of the rain on the tin-roofed pavilion, and less than three minutes later their embrace made everything official.
The weather didn’t rain on their celebration either. After the ceremony, the party moved under the pavilion and they enjoyed every last minute of it.
An old sailor's saying says, "the strongest knots are tied in the rain," and after witnessing this day, we couldn't agree more. Congratulations Danielle & Chance!
