Surprise Location: Sugarloaf Mountain Elopement // Dickerson MD

We knew that Ayla & Lee love adventures and surprises, but when they asked us to take their wedding photos AND choose the location, well, WE were both surprised and completely honored. We provided only the gps coordinates and met these two adventurers at their secret wedding spot in Sugarloaf Mountain. The message they sent us afterward is so special, we wanted to share it — this is the reason we do what we do ❤️:

"We asked our amazing photographers, Bee Two Sweet to pick a location for the wedding photo shoot and surprise us. They sent coordinates the day of and we met at the secret spot. Brittany and Johnny feel more like family than anything else, and the fact that they shared their special spot with us melted our hearts! 💕 I love feeling small in a big world— especially because I’m tall— and I love the reminders that the universe is vast and our love is part of something much bigger. Brittany captured those feelings and thoughts so well. Our elopement is a protection against future attacks on our family— it is a protest— it is an act of resistance. Being marked on government documents as a “gay” family is BRAVE and serious in the midst of fascism. ⛰ Yet, Bee Two Sweet made all that noise dissolve for a few hours so that Lee and I could connect with the fabric of Nature and love and peace and quiet.
