Mais, Oui! Surprise Proposal // Leesburg VA

Kingston had originally planned to propose to Lyla in France, but COVID-19 foiled his romantic quest. But, just wait until you hear about his fabulous Plan B! How often do you have the opportunity to propose to your fiancée on the same day when you close on your newly-built home?!

With the help of friends, Kingston filled the main floor of their new home with balloons (to which friends attached polaroid photos) and roses, even adorning the front door with a gorgeous balloon arch -- no detail was missed, right down to the purple balloons, which symbolized the lavender fields of France, where he had hoped to propose to Lyla). 

As Kingston escorted Lyla from the garage and through their new home, Lyla was completely taken aback and even more surprised upon reaching the front door to see more friends holding up lighted "MARRY ME!" letters! Kingston dropped down to one knee as Lyla walked through the front door to their front stoop -- of course, she said "YES!!" 

The final surprise, after a fabulous champagne toast, was a gorgeous, towering engagement cake made by Cakes by Lala , such a thoughtful gift from their friends -- and the perfect ending to a perfect proposal! Congratulations on your engagement AND your new home, Lyla & Kingston!!
